What a Difference A Month can Make!

So here's the thing, I was so NOT going to blog today, because well really how could I compete with my butterflies, unicorns and rainbows of yesterday?  I wasn't that is, until I realized that a month ago today I started to blog.

Righto Wilma, people have been doing this for years, no big deal you've done it for a month- although everyone FEELS like you have been around forever gabby guts!

True enough, no great feat in the span of the life of a blog.  In my life though so much as happened.  I won't recount it for you, ( I hear your collective exhale out there and I am taking names!) because almost all of it has been condensed and documented on this blog.

I just have to say that the people of this community are so amazing!  ( I may or may not have said that  once or twice before, *blush*)  I can't believe how far I have personally come in the past month and a bit.  Without your support, I'm sure I would have packed it in after about a week...before I even approached Barney.

And those lurkers that have emailed me or commented to me on my blog that you appreciate that we started from the beginning, or that Barney, like your husband, didn't seem like a dominant HoH needing to be woken up, or that you are going through similar situations and you are grateful to us for sharing, it is I who have to thank you ( again). On the bad days, when I don't feel like I should share, ( although it always helps in the end) your comments push me on.

Some of you  bloggers out there have also publicly endorsed my blog...I do question your mental state, but I'll take it anyway.
I have almost reached 7 thousand pageviews!  Pretty sure 6956 are mine, but let's not split hairs.  For those of you out there not blogging, this means to me anyway, more wonderful people who may comment and offer support and ideas during our journey.

I had my doubts, seriously if Barney could/would do this even after he agreed.  I knew he loved me and he said he would do whatever it took to keep us together, and me happy ( himself as well obviously), but the subtle and not so subtle changes that have come over him are amazing too !  He has also turned into such a tease...grrrrrrrr..he COULD choose to tease me about more things then a spanking or my bum, but Baby steps right?  He makes me feel so Pretty...( sure- take a moment to break into the I Feel Pretty song if you'd like) and in turn I suppose I am again.

He has to develop his own stride in this, that we know, but each corner we turn sees more hope on the horizon.  It is our sincere hope that despite the obstacles coming our way, that this will continue to do nothing but strengthen our marriage.  Feel free to quote me when I turn back into Whiny Wilma when the next pebble( <- pebble..hehe) upsets the apple cart.  I know you will, I am counting on it!

We are really so GREEN at ttwd, but we can't or won't turn back now.  I know it is going to be a long and bumpy road, but that is what we have all of YOU for!

Alrighty then, let's see what November has in store shall we?

By the sounds of things it looks like November may hold a little of this

which means this

However as long as THIS continues, I'm good with that! ( or would it be this again?)

  2. There is not timetable - I think everyone would agree it's one day at a time. Enjoy the process.

Glad you are here among us. You almost always make me giggle.

    1. Well I'm glad I make you giggle Sunny!

Not concerned about a timetable that is for sure, especially when I hear what happens as the speed picks up!

      Thanks Sunny

    1. Well hello again Mr.B.

I mean every word of it. If it wasn't for the people in blog land I have no idea where we would be at the moment. I am honestly in awe at how people start this life on their own. I don't just mean not blogging, I would suppose that is a personal thing. Some people don't need to talk things out to figure them out<- think we can all agree _I_ don't fall into that category. I mean without the support of others.

Fortunately for me, and perhaps at times unfortunately for them, fellow bloggers have been more than support, they have been a lifeline for this lifestyle and us.

I'm gonna try to keep up the good work...CRUMB over my time limit ..shoot!

    2. It does help tremendously when their is a support system and people you can bounce ideas off of!

  4. Congrats - you both are doing great. I'm good at quoting, so you can be sure I will remind you if need be. LOL Just remember, it's a journey, not a marathon. ;)

Not sure about the journey not a marathon comment, but typical Wilma will over think it to death and get back to you :)

    2. Dang - can't have you over-thinking anything - especially to death. LOL A marathon has a beginning and an end on a fixed (no detours) course and is timed. You run it by yourself, even if you have a running partner, you push yourself and your running partner, and you are constantly looking around measuring yourself against others. Make more sense.

    3. Oh well then no worries here! Go back and read my Gym class running story in the comments section of my last post- with M3, ya know because you have nothing better to do with your time.

Long and short of it, this girl don't run! Good analogy though. Really good!

Thanks for freeing up a small section of my over active mind!

  7. Hi Wilma, congratulations on your monthavversary. Glad its going so well now. We are as new at this as you and isn't it amazing how phrases such as "over those pillows" and "you are only making things worse for yourself" suddenly appear in your once docile husband's vocabulary. Who knew? lol. lots of love Jan.xxx P.S. I can't start my own blog I don't think my computer skills stretch that far!!!

    1. :( Sad face for the blog comment ( because it really is easy, the computer aspect) but I understand.

Well Barney hasn't got to the 'you are only making this worse for youself' part yet. I keep teasin' other bloggers that it will never happen. First off, clearly I am going to be good as gold. Pah. THEY on the other hand are not so convinced! I mean REALLY? Moi? Sheesh.

I've "actually only been spanked once in a discipline setting. He does keep talking/teasing me though. For example I was looking at the calender and I was said, "oh great" under my breath.

      "What's the matter?"

" Hmmm? Oh nothing just PMS week starts next week" I actually wasn't even thinking about it in a Dd setting. Although last month's emotions were off the wall- ya know because I'm so stable now without the hormonal imbalance.

He then started massaging his hands, and acting as if they were freezing and he couldn't get warm.
      " What are you doing?"
" Just warmin' them up for next week" <- sigh, seriously? NOT funny.

Thanks for coming by again Jan. I love hearing from you!

  9. Hey Roz

You know you are quickly becoming one of my favourite morning rituatals. Answering your comments. Makes me not all alone at 6:30 in the morning.

Thank you for your kind words. I really do like it here in Blogland.

As for the distance ( oh, better choose a different word ) the amount covered in our journey, we're trying. Things are heating up around here though- with me anyway. I'm going to have to try really, really hard in the next little while to keep Distancing Dixie, in the ditch.

The make over. Yeah, she's hot that Wilma! But she's gonna have to go to the salon a lot to keep up with the new look. It might get costly.

    Enjoy your weekend

    1. As for the numbers, I'm not sure if they are good or not- perhaps the average is 10 thousand hits a month? But I guess everybody likes a good train wreck? LOL. Barney finds the how many, which contries they are from, all the graphs etc. very cool( okay so do I).

  12. Willie! Is it really a month?
It seems like just yesterday! I am giddy about you and Barney, and for some reason, see it as a personal triumph - don't ask me why? I feel a little like a bird that booted her baby from the nest and damned if it didn't fy!
And yeah, it is one day at a time, Willie - but you have a good man, and a nice bum from the sounds of things so life is all good.
    Love ya!

  13. Lillie you can take it as a personal triumph, provided that when we fail you don't take that on personally as well.

  15. Congrats Wilma! We have one month on you on our blogaversary. It is a very tough road, but so worth it. Here's to our one year blogaversary. May we look back and not be able to recognize ourselves. Cheers!

  16. I've missed you Blue Bird.

I already don't recognize some parts of me- yet they were around long ago. It will be interesting to see what life holds in the next 11 months 'til our One year. Hey, perhaps Barney and I will have a secondary anniversary celebration ! Hmm? What date to pick ? The day I 'came out', the day he first spanked? Hmmm? Man more decisions...oh wait, I can defer to my HoH!

    Be well my friend!
