Just a Short Note...really

By the sounds of things, I will have a rather interesting post tomorrow or the next day......( someone's halo may have slipped- sigh) .  How the post ends, will be determined by Barney- whether he will follow through or talk himself out of what he said he was going to do.  I can see him struggling already with this.

*****

Yesterday was a total right off for me so forgive me for being late in wishing you all a happy New Year.   I saw this on Face book and it really stood out for me.  So many posts, and thoughts about resolutions in the New Year-  this seems to be the one that speaks to me

Alright in all fairness I can see some of you screaming NO  Willie! - more of you is NOT needed...lol.. especially those who, um know more about my halo slip...FYI Emma feel free not to comment, I  already know what you are going to say *wink*.

In all seriousness starting ttwd was always about this for me.  To bring down those walls.  To let myself be open again.  To not change me, but to RETURN to me.  It is very difficult at times- yesterday in particular.  I am seeing myself more and more.  I hope for this continued 'growth' in 2013 no matter the challenges.

May the feelings of hope and happiness that you have because of a New Year continue throughout the year.  The path that we have chosen is not is not one that the 'outside' world might understand.  It is not an easy one, but like the old saying goes, nothing good in life comes easy.

I should end this post with how much you all mean to me, but that can be found in my previous post *wink*

Thank you all for last year's support and I'll thank you all in advance for this year's

Love
Willie

    1. Hi Blondie! Welcome back.

I'll try to take your advice to heart-after tomorrow :)

  2. Your halo doesn't slip does it? Awe hell just call it what it really is... An ankle bracelet! Lol!

Hope Barney is able to follow through... I know it's hard but encourage him and let him know that it really is what is best for the both of you. Try to submit gracefully and talk to him. John asked me the other night how I felt about him letting my "little indiscretion" slide and I had to be honest and tell him that we've done that too much :( it was extremely difficult to say that, but I knew in my heart that he shouldn't let it slide again. Be honest and communicate with him

Wishing you the best my friend

    1. An ankle bracelet? That's the last time I recommend you email Lucy...you're picking up her bad attitude! Sheesh.

      Thanks P.

    4. Oh yes the two of you....great minds indeed...lol...

As for Ryan, it would seem, as you know, Barney must be talking to him in some secret HoH chat room...He's picking up on some of Ryan's classic lines...sheeh.

    1. Why do I think of More Cow Bell and Christopher Walken when you say We could all use more Willie?

Really want. Right that is what I asked for.

We'll stumble through this next year together Bea :)

  4. "feel free not to comment" bbwwaahhhh You know me better than that.

The halo slipping happens on a daily basis, Barney just noticed this time. He will take care of it and you will both feel better afterwards.

Give Barney a high-five for me (don't hurt his hand, he's going to need it)

    Love ya, mean it,

  5. This sounds exciting but scary Willie! Personally I don't plan to let my halo slip for a very long time! LOL!

Would Barney like to borrow the 'butter paddle'? I'll willingly send it! In fact, any offers from anyone else?

You'll have about 85 bloggers commenting after tomorrow!

    Lots of hugs, Ami

    1. Lend us the butter paddle? Gee Ami with friends like you who needs enemies?

Although shipping would delay my day of doom. Nope I think I just want this entire blasted event behind ( pardon the pun ) behind me. Fear not he's got that nasty silicone spreader..YIKES. Again asking myself why I didn't pitch it out during one of my we aren't doing ttwd meltdowns.

      Thanks for the hugs Ami

  7. Tell the truth Willie - You lost your hula-hoop and just found your halo under a pile of laundry so decided to use it to exercise. ;)

Hope you and Barney are able to deal with your 'slip' and move forward.

    Hugs and Blessings,

    1. Well Cat the only problem with your theory is that it would have required me to actually DO laundry over the holidays.

I'm definitely looking forward to moving forward. This is way harder than I ever imagined.

Thanks for the hugs and blessings.

    2. Didn't say you were "doing" laundry - just said you found the halo under that pile. LOL So is laundry on your spankable list? If so, Barney has another reason to spank? ;)

      Delete
    3. True enough you didn't say that.

You are one tough cookie! Sheesh, NO laundry is not a spankable offence unless I put it on my list and don't do it- but in case you forgot, I was SICK after Xmas until the day of New Years Eve, so nothing got done but me showering. lol

  8. Hey Willie :)

You might just have to lay your 'implements' out on the bed. Just don't trip over your halo that is now an ankle bracelet (thanks Pocahontas..I thought that comment was hilarious :)

Actually I've been informed since writing this post that so far tomorrow is happening. Now we'll have to see if life gets in the way or not.

I'll still take your hugs if you mock me :)

  10. Well that is good news :) Hope for your sake that life does not get in the way. You could always follow him around with the belt in your hand. Sort of like a puppy dog with a ball...

  11. Willie, I don't mean to be contrary, but many good things in life come easy. There's the crisp clean smell of the winter air, brilliant sun on a January day, a smile you get from a stranger at the grocery store, a little kindness from your husband you didn't expect. Every day has countless moments like these for those who can notice them.

Yes, DD is difficult, marriage is difficult, growth can be painful. But you're always on the right path when you are on the road to yourself. Happy new year! I'm glad you're here.

    ReplyDelete
  12. C'mon Kevan, sure you meant to be contrary! But that is okay :) You are absolutely right...although one could argue those things are free. But they are things that you don't have to work for you are right.

I'm so happy you are 'back'!

    Happy New Year Kevan!

  13. Sorry to hear you have been sick, Willie.
It is all about those walls, that is for certain. Until I got started, I had no idea how many I had erected over the years.
Hope it is a wonderful year for you and the Barney-cat.
    hugs
    lillie

  14. Thanks Lillie.

I started getting sick on Boxing Day and it continued right through to the night before New Years Eve. I got off relatively easy compared to most people around here. Yesterday's illness was self induced- and colour my husband not impressed :(

The walls seem to be crumbling. The emotions when the words 'disappointed' cross one's husband's lips is an entirely new thing for me. And I turned around to find no walls to retreat behind. I suppose that is a good thing. Painful, but good.

Nothing but the best for you and Ian in 2013!
    Much Love

  17. Hi Willie, I see you have some nice 'friends' here Lol

um, we 'spoke' about your halo slip yesterday :) I hope you too manage to resolve it and move on. I've sent you an email as well.

I was told today that we need to get back on track after the Christmas holiday and that some reaffirmation/reconnection is definitely required. Yay! I guess I kinda have to agree though - sigh!

Good luck my friend and I hope all ends "well"?

    Hugs

    1. Hi Roz.

Thanks for the chat the other night. It did help. Your email made sense too...as Blondie once said, I have to learn to follow my own darn advice :0)- Trust that Barney is going to do what he thinks is best. That is the whole idea behind ttwd right?

Sorry that The Boss thinks it is time for R/A- even more sorry that you two got to that point. Like you said, you'll feel better after right?

Good Luck to you too my friends.

      Love Willie

  18. Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy! I coul have sworn I commented! I keep reading posts, then run to work, cook, study.... Run back to work. Lol. Anyway, do not beat yourself up. Really you are not supposed to do that, right! Tomorrow will be over and settled. You will feel better. It wasn't something mean or malicious.

I know, I know...NO beating oneself up. I'm trying (sorta) old habits die hard, and this one seems stronger at the moment.

Thank you. I feel like I have my own personal cheerleader!

  19. I hate that what we most need to help us get back to that act of "returning" to being us is exactly what we don't want and yet we really need. That made sense right? We depend on these guys to follow through and I really hope that Barney finds the gumption to do it. You need it to keep yourself from employment in that brick and mortar business.

Dang it, why doesn't it pay better? We're stinkin professionals after all!

    I'll check on you later...

I love your new picture BTW!

    1. You said it Susie! TTWD is funky....lol- and not for the obvious reasons for those who don't practice it.

So far so good with the wall building stuff this past week. Being sick is a first class ticket on the Submission Train, I'll tell you what! And then, well guilt keeps the old walls down too.

I hope you are right about later, making me feel better. This is new for me- and well obviously Barney too.

I look forward to talking to you later :)

As for the picture...I know right? It seems to um, kinda 'suit' me. LOL. I couldn't believe it when I found it.

  23. Hope the new year brings all that you need (even when you're not quite sure that you want it) and all that you desire. Hope you're feeling better - it's going around, all of us were sick over Christmas (on the tail end now), but were grateful Ward was home for the first time in memory.

    (((hugs))) and brightest blessings.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks June

I hope I figure that out soon :) . It is unfortunate you were all sick, but like you said at least Ward was home :)- I am fortunate that I can say I'm healthy enough to be able to complain about a cold/flu. If that is the worst of my ailments, I'm a very lucky girl indeed.

All the best in the New Year to you Both
